ACR Personal Locator Beacon with Return Link Service

ACRARTEX is happy to announce the launch of two brand new ACR PLBs both fitted with RLS (return link service). The PLB ResQLink 410 RLS (PLB410RLS) and the ACR PLB ResQLink View RLS (PLB-435RLS) are approved and ready for sale in Singapore.

Beacons with RLS provide confirmation to the user that their beacon’s emergency distress message has been received and that their location has been detected. RLS works by sending a signal back through the Cospas-Sarsat satellite network to confirm to the beacon user that the distress message from a beacon has been received and their location has been detected. The groundbreaking ResQLink View RLS is the world’s first PLB with the capability to provide the user with a clear confirmation message via a digital display screen, verifying that the international satellite system Cospas-Sarsat has received their distress message and location. The new PLBs with RLS are identical in size to the current PLB400 and PLB425.

Toxic Water Pollution in Pasir Gudang

Toxic Water Pollution has so far resulted in over 2,775 people being affected in Pasir Gudang. Toxic substances that have been identified are, 1. Benzene, 2. Toluene, 3. Isonitrile, 4. Isocynide, plus other chemicals that has yet to be identified. Current response has been to wear N95 or even R95 masks.  These are ineffective in protecting wearers from the toxic substances above.  In review,

Daniamant 3D Forward Looking Sonar

The FLS 3D has been developed with the patented and ground-breaking technology of Real-Time Forward Looking Sonar. Real-time Forward Looking Sonar is unique to EchoPilot’s patented design. Real-time means that the FLS does not gradually build up the picture like a phased array sonar.
Instead the FLS scans the whole forward view and updates the screen several times a second. An obstruction ahead of the boat will show on the screen immediately. Likewise, if the boat turns to another heading with no target ahead then the FLS screen will immediately show clear water ahead. Personal Locator Beacon saves lives

PLBs have been proven tried and true in some of the world's most remote locations and treacherous conditions. Just ask the 400 or so pilots, boaters and backcountry explorers who were saved by a PLB during a rigorous test program in Alaska.
